“Grace Hopper Programming Camp” was held on 13th April, 2017 which was conducted by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and organized by IIUC IEEE WIE Affinity Group.
Two days long Grace Hopper Programming Camp ended with a small programming contest where 60 girls’ students attended. In First day there was 120 girls student attend in this camp. In this camp only girls students trained from basic to advance level of programming.
The opening phase and closing & prize giving phase of the camp, Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor of International Islamic University Dr. Mohammad Delwar Hossain was the chief guest, The special guests was Engineer Mohammad Arafat Rahman Co-coordinator of Bangladeshi Open source Network (BDSON) of Chittagong division. Md. Mehdi Hassan, Head of Computer Science and Engineering, EEE IIUC Student Branch Councilor Mr. Md Athar Uddin, faculty member of Dept of CSE Mr. Md. Shamsul Alam, & Mr. Md. Tanvir Ahsan were also present on the occasion.
Two days longs, this camp was taught to teach from the beginning of programming. And in the end it gets full through a contest. Among the participants in the contest, the number of people from 1st to 5th position was rewarded.
On the program, a gift of honor was given to the trainers. The competition was inspired by awarding the last position competitor Aifa Faruq as Grade B. And this award is a message to all.
